Germans and Ukrainians Set for Gold Showdown in Poland Beach Volleyball Challenge

Germany’s Linda Bock and Louisa Lippmann are set to compete against Ukraine’s Maryna Hladun and Tetiana Lazarenko in the women’s final of the Beach Pro Tour Warmia Mazury Challenge on Sunday, June 29. Scheduled for 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT), the final will take place at the Anders Hotel Beach courts in Poland.

This gold medal match represents a significant milestone for the German duo. Both Bock and Lippmann transitioned from successful indoor volleyball careers, and this final appearance marks their first in a Beach Pro Tour event. Despite an initial loss in pool play to the Ukrainian duo, they bounced back with five consecutive victories. Notable wins include a dramatic quarterfinal against Spanish Olympians Tania Moreno and Daniela Álvarez, followed by a straight-sets semifinal win over France's Clémence Vieira and Aline Chamereau.

The Ukrainian team, Hladun and Lazarenko, have showcased dominance and cohesion throughout the tournament. Together since 2023, they are eyeing their third Pro Tour title. At this event, they have won every match in straight sets, with key victories over American competitors in the knockout rounds. Their previous titles include:

  • Challenge Gold – Chennai (2024)
  • Futures Gold – Warsaw (2023)

The bronze medal match will take place earlier on Sunday, at 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT), featuring American duo Julia Donlin and Lexy Denaburg versus France’s Vieira and Chamereau.

As a key stop on the 2025 Beach Pro Tour, the Warmia Mazury Challenge offers not only valuable ranking points but also opportunities for elite international matchups. Fans can watch all the action live on VBTV.
