Anders Mol and Christian Sørum, the world’s top-ranked beach volleyball team from Norway, have secured their second consecutive gold at the 2025 Beach Pro Tour Montréal Elite16. With a commanding performance, they defeated Sweden’s Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson in straight sets (21-19, 21-13).
The victory at Parc Jean-Drapeau marks their second gold of the season—after also triumphing in Saquarema, Brazil—and adds to their remarkable year of consistent podium finishes:
- Gold in Montréal and Saquarema
- Silver in Ostrava
- Bronze in Brasília
- Record-setting fifth European Championship title
The Swedish duo, despite the loss, continue to impress. With four medals in five events, Hölting Nilsson and Andersson have emerged as promising contenders on the global stage.
In the battle for third place, Czech pair Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner edged out Swedish Olympic champions David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig in a dramatic three-set duel (14-21, 22-20, 20-18), earning their fourth podium spot this season.
Next up, the 2025 Beach Pro Tour moves to Hamburg, Germany for Europe’s Elite16 leg, happening from August 27 to 31.
