Corinne Quiggle and Chloe Loreen of the United States have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Cape Town Elite16 on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour following two dominant wins on Friday in South Africa.
The duo launched their playoff campaign with a decisive 2-0 victory (21-9, 21-18) over fellow Americans Carly Kan and Devanne Sours. Their momentum carried into the next round where they defeated Germany’s sixth-seeded team, Linda Bock and Louisa Lippmann, in straight sets (21-13, 21-15). Loreen contributed with four blocks and 15 total points, while Quiggle led the charge with 17 points, including a service ace.
Next opponents: They will now face German pair Sandra Ittlinger and Anna-Lena Grune, who advanced after a narrow win against teammates Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann.

- Katja Stam and Raisa Schoon (Netherlands): Advanced after defeating Lithuania and receiving a forfeit from Brazil’s top-seeded team.
- Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth (Italy): Dominated their match against Americans Teegan Van Gunst and Piper Ferch.
- Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova (Latvia): Beat Lithuanian team Ieva Dumbauskaite and Gerda Grudzinskaite.
- Müller and Tillmann (Germany): Edged past Ittlinger and Grune in tight sets (24-22, 23-21).
- Anouk and Zoe Verge-Depre (Switzerland): Defeated Norwegian pair Nina Pavlova and Sunniva Helland-Hansen 2-0.
